The Largest RD15, Built for Grand Spaces

The RD15 12 Arms is the most expansive version of this design. Twelve solid brass arms reach out from the central body, and at this scale the design shifts its logic: rather than only spreading wider, the arms arc upward across a much taller range, giving the finished piece a layered, cascading silhouette that changes as you move beneath it. It is less a single chandelier than a canopy of branching light.

Transparent Glass, Fully Exposed Filament

This RD15 is fitted with Schwung's transparent glass, the clearest of the three finishes the studio offers alongside opal matte and marble matte. Twelve exposed filaments, spread across a fitting that can hang nearly three metres tall, produce a field of small warm light points rather than a single source, with the brass structure doing as much visual work as the glass itself.

Choose Your Finish

The 12 Arms RD15 is available in three brass finishes: Lacquered Burnished Brass, Black Gunmetal, and Polished Nickel. All three are hand finished in Poland, so expect small, natural variations between individual pieces rather than a perfectly uniform surface.

How It Works

Each of the twelve arms takes a 1.6W G4 LED bulb, included, warm white at 2700K and dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch. Height adjusts across an unusually wide range, from around 200cm to 290cm, using the supplied extension tubes, one each of 15cm, 30cm, and 45cm, and a flat cylinder ceiling canopy around 19cm across. Every arm can be angled up to 135 degrees. Measured across its widest spread it is around 138cm in diameter, and it weighs 31.9kg.

Where It Works Best

The 12 Arms RD15 is for rooms with the ceiling height, floor area, and visual ambition to match it: a grand dining room, a large entrance hall, a converted warehouse or barn, or a double-height residential space. Given its tall drop range, it also suits a stairwell that runs through more than one storey. It is an obvious choice for a hotel or restaurant where the brief calls for something genuinely remarkable overhead.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every fitting, including the RD15, is made to order in solid brass and mouth-blown glass at the studio's Namyslow workshop. At twelve arms, this is one of the most technically demanding pieces the studio builds: balancing and levelling twelve individually weighted brass arms into one coherent, evenly hung structure takes real skill.
