The Pulsar 200mm sits at the middle of Schwung's Pulsar range, a single hand blown glass globe on a brass wall mount, sized for rooms where a fitting needs genuine presence without dominating the wall. At 200mm across it reads as a proper wall light rather than a small accent, while still keeping the restrained, single globe form that defines the whole Pulsar family.

Choose Your Finish

As with the rest of the range, the globe is available in opal matte, marble matte or Dries glass. Opal matte glass gives a clean, uniform glow with the light source fully hidden. Marble matte glass has a softly veined, milky pattern worked into the glass during blowing, so no two globes look quite the same. Dries glass is drawn with fine threads across the surface, scattering the light into a more textured, detailed pattern than the other two finishes. The frame comes in lacquered burnished brass, polished nickel or black gunmetal, letting the metal tone be chosen to match existing fittings in the room.

How It Works

The Pulsar 200mm takes a single 5W LED bulb, included. The globe measures 200mm in diameter and around 217mm high, mounted on a 200mm diameter brass backplate, and the fitting weighs approximately 2.9kg. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms only.

Where It Works Best

At 200mm the Pulsar suits rooms where the fitting is expected to do a bit more work than a smaller accent light: a hallway, a landing, a dressing room, or a stairwell with enough wall space to give the globe room to read properly. It also works well as a pair either side of a mirror or headboard, where the matched scale gives the wall symmetry without competing with other features in the room.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. According to Schwung, every fitting leaving the Namyslow workshop is made to order in solid brass and mouth blown glass, and the 200mm globe here is blown to a size the studio considers among its most versatile, big enough to notice, small enough to fit almost anywhere.

Which finish should I choose?

How does the 200mm differ from the 150mm and 250mm?
It sits in the middle of the range, larger and more present on the wall than the 150mm, but a step down in scale from the 250mm, which makes it a versatile size for typical room proportions.
