Two Globes, One Confident Vertical Line

The Oslo Dual carries its two transparent glass globes one above the other on a single narrow brass backplate, rather than side by side, so the fitting reads as one vertical composition instead of two separate lights sharing a plate. Each globe sits on its own short arm projecting the same distance from the wall, with the bulb fully exposed inside the glass. It is a genuinely different proportion to the Single, taller and more architectural, without adding any width to the footprint.

Choose Your Finish

Three brass finishes are available. Black Gunmetal gives the backplate and arms a dark, matte presence that lets the two glass globes stand out as the brightest element on the wall. Lacquered Burnished Brass carries Schwung's signature warm brass tone, lacquered so the finish stays consistent without regular polishing. Polished Nickel is bright and cool, and pairs naturally with chrome fittings and taps elsewhere in the room. Because the glass is identical across all three, the finish decision is really about how much the metal itself should draw the eye.

How It Works

The Oslo Dual takes two G4 LED capsule bulbs, included, each rated at 1.6W and producing approximately 180 lumens, for a combined 360 lumens at a warm 2700K. Dimming is possible only with an electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmer. The fitting measures 400mm high by 150mm wide by 190mm deep, with two 150mm diameter borosilicate glass globes stacked at different heights, and weighs approximately 2.2kg complete. It is IP20 rated, so it is designed for dry indoor rooms rather than anywhere exposed to moisture. Both bulbs and the wall plate are included; the fitting is hardwired and needs a fixed electrical connection.

Where It Works Best

The vertical arrangement of the two globes makes the Oslo Dual a strong choice either side of a large mirror or piece of art, where its height gives it enough visual weight to balance a bigger surface. It also works well in a stairwell or landing, where the taller profile is more noticeable from a distance than a single sconce, or flanking a bed where the two points of light sit at slightly different heights rather than in a flat line. Keep it in dry rooms, since it is rated IP20 rather than for bathroom zones.

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen, working from a shared belief that solid brass and hand blown glass deserved a more contemporary vocabulary than traditional lighting usually gives them. Every Oslo Dual is made to order at the Namyslow workshop, with each of the two globes individually blown, so the pair mounted on any one fitting will always carry small, natural variations rather than being identical twins.

Are the two globes side by side or one above the other?
One above the other. The Oslo Dual is built on a single vertical backplate with the two globes at different heights, not a horizontal pair.

Is the Oslo Dual suitable for a bathroom?
No. It has an IP20 rating, which limits it to dry rooms rather than shower or bath splash zones.

How many bulbs do I need to buy?
None to start with. The Oslo Dual comes with both G4 1.6W LED bulbs included.
