Six opal mat glass globes form a compact ring in the Odyssey Round Small, the entry point into Schwung's circular chandelier range. It carries the same planetary symmetry as the Medium and Large versions but at a scale that suits a domestic dining room or bedroom rather than a grand open plan space, without losing any of the material quality that defines the range.

Choose Your Finish

The brass hub and spokes are available in lacquered burnished brass, black gunmetal, or polished nickel, hand finished in Poland. Each of the six opal mat glass globes is individually mouth blown into a cast iron mould, so subtle variation between them is expected and part of the appeal rather than a flaw to look past.

How It Works

The chandelier takes six 5W E14 LED bulbs, included, producing a combined output in the region of 2700 to 3000 lumens at 3000K, and is dimmable. It measures approximately 90.7cm in diameter, with the height adjustable between roughly 41.6cm and 131.6cm using the included extension rods, and each glass globe measures around 10cm in diameter and 30cm in height. The fitting weighs approximately 12.6kg. No IP rating is published for this fixture, so it should be treated as suitable for dry indoor rooms only.

Where It Works Best

This size suits a dining room with a table for four, a bedroom where a round chandelier above the bed makes a more intimate alternative to a larger centrepiece, or a kitchen with a modest ceiling height. It also works well as a landing light on a stairwell where the ceiling is not tall enough for the Medium or Large Round versions.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every fitting is made to order in solid brass and mouth blown glass at the Namyslow workshop, and the Round Small reflects the studio's commitment to making the Odyssey aesthetic available across a genuine range of room sizes, not only the grand and expansive.
