The Odyssey 6 Table Lamp brings the honeycomb cluster of six opal mat glass cylinders down from the ceiling and onto a weighted brass base, standing 65cm tall with a 22cm diameter footprint. It is a substantial lamp for a table lamp, closer in presence to a small chandelier than a bedside light, and it puts out enough combined light to work as a genuine room light rather than a purely decorative accent.

Choose Your Finish

The brass base and stem come in Black Gunmetal, a dark matte finish for bolder rooms, Lacquered Burnished Brass, which keeps the warm natural tone of brass under a protective lacquer, and Polished Nickel, a cooler, more reflective option. The opal mat glass cluster on top stays the same across all three.

How It Works

Takes 6x E14 LED bulbs, 5W each, around 450 to 500 lumens per bulb at 2700K warm white, bulbs not included. The lampshade cluster measures approximately 31.4cm across, sitting on a base 22cm in diameter and 3.6cm tall. The complete lamp weighs 8.1kg, so it needs a sturdy surface, a sideboard or console rather than a delicate side table. As a plug in table lamp it does not require any electrical installation, though the cable and plug should be checked periodically like any mains appliance.

Where It Works Best

Its scale and weight suit a large console table, a sideboard in a hallway, or the floor beside a substantial sofa where a floor lamp is not wanted but a bedside style lamp would look undersized. It works particularly well in a room with high ceilings, where its combined six shade output can genuinely contribute to the room's ambient light rather than acting purely as a decorative accent.

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Schwung makes the 6 Table Lamp from the same solid brass and mouth blown opal mat glass as the ceiling version of the Odyssey 6, simply rebuilt around a table base rather than a suspension canopy, so the light quality and finish options stay identical between the two formats.
