A Tower of Honeycombed Light

The Odyssey 6 Floor Lamp takes the honeycomb cluster of six opal mat glass cylinders and raises it on a tall brass stem to a height of around 155cm. It is the largest and most substantial piece in the Odyssey floor and table lamp formats, built to anchor a corner or a seating area rather than sit quietly in the background.

Choose Your Finish

The stem and base come in Black Gunmetal, a dark matte finish for bolder rooms, Lacquered Burnished Brass, the warm natural tone of brass under a protective lacquer, and Polished Nickel, a cooler and more reflective finish. The glass cluster at the top is identical whichever finish you choose.

How It Works

Takes 6x E14 LED bulbs, 5W each, for a combined output of around 2700 to 3000 lumens at 3000K warm white, bulbs not included. The glass cluster measures approximately 31.4cm across and 30cm tall, sitting atop a stem that reaches an overall height of around 155cm, on a base 30.5cm in diameter and 4.5cm tall. The complete lamp weighs 14.7kg, giving it the stability to stand at that height without a wide footprint. As a plug in floor lamp it does not require electrical installation.

Where It Works Best

Its height and combined light output suit a large living room corner, beside a substantial sofa, or in a double height space where a standard floor lamp would be visually lost. Because the light comes from six shades rather than one, it contributes meaningfully to a room's ambient light rather than working purely as an accent piece.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. The 6 Floor Lamp uses the same honeycomb arrangement of opal mat glass shades found in the Odyssey 6 pendant and table lamp, rebuilt onto a floor standing brass stem so the same combined light output is available as a freestanding piece.

• Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician for any fixed wiring; as a plug in lamp it can otherwise be positioned freely
