A Single Globe, Elegantly Simple

A single transparent glass globe is cradled at the end of a gently arching brass arm, giving the Naples Single wall sconce an almost floral profile. The curved stem draws the eye upward before delivering the light forward and outward, a study in restraint compared with Schwung's multi armed sconces, and one that works as a quiet accent rather than a statement piece.

Transparent Glass, Nothing Concealed

The globe is mouth blown from clear glass, so the LED capsule bulb inside remains visible rather than softened behind opal or textured glass. Lit, it casts a direct, focused pool of light forward from the wall, unlit, the clear glass and curved brass arm still read as a considered, almost sculptural detail.

Choose Your Finish

The arm and wall plate are available in Black Gunmetal, Lacquered Burnished Brass, or Polished Nickel, so the finish can be matched to existing brass fittings or chosen to stand apart.

How It Works

The sconce takes a single G4 LED capsule bulb (included), rated at a maximum of 1.6W at 12V, producing around 180 lumens at a warm 2700K, dimmable only with electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmers. It stands approximately 37.1cm tall, projects around 23.2cm from the wall, and the wall plate itself is around 5cm wide. The glass globe measures approximately 15cm in diameter, and the fitting weighs around 1.6kg.

Where It Works Best

Beside a mirror, flanking a bed as a pair, or lining a hallway at intervals. Its single arm and modest projection make it a good fit for narrower walls or spaces where a pair of larger multi armed sconces would feel too heavy.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. The Naples Single is made to order in solid brass and mouth blown glass at the Namyslow workshop, its curved single arm designed as the most pared back expression of the Naples format.

It is sold as a single fitting. For symmetrical installations either side of a mirror or bed, two would need to be ordered.
