A Sculptural Statement in Brass and Glass

Three arms fan out from a central brass column, each one carrying a single transparent glass globe held at a different height and angle. The Milan 3 Arms floor lamp takes the pared-back geometry of the original Milan format and multiplies it, turning a single point of light into a considered composition of three. Unlit, the arrangement of cantilevered brass arms and clear glass spheres reads as a piece of sculpture in its own right, lit, the three globes together throw a wide, even spread of warm light across a room in a way a single arm floor lamp cannot.

Transparent Glass, Fully Exposed

Each globe is mouth-blown from clear glass, so the LED capsule bulb inside sits in full view rather than behind a diffusing shade. The light is direct and a little theatrical, with the bulb itself becoming part of the object's character rather than something to be hidden. Across three globes at three different angles, the effect multiplies further, layered pools of clear, undiffused light rather than one flat wash.

Choose Your Finish

The Milan 3 Arms is available with its brass column and arms in Black Gunmetal, Lacquered Burnished Brass, or Polished Nickel, so the metal tone can be matched to existing fittings in the room or chosen to contrast against the clear glass globes.

How It Works

Each of the three arms takes a single G4 LED capsule bulb (included), rated at a maximum of 1.6W at 12V and around 200 lumens per bulb, giving roughly 600 lumens combined at a warm 2700K. The lamp is dimmable, but only with electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmers. The lamp stands approximately 182.6cm tall, with the three arms spreading to a footprint of around 129.3cm wide by 124.1cm deep. Each glass globe takes a bulb no larger than 10mm in diameter.

Where It Works Best

A living room corner, a large bedroom, or any generously proportioned space that can accommodate its full spread benefits most from the Milan 3 Arms. Because the arms extend outward rather than upward, it needs clearance on more than one side, making it better suited to open floor space than a tight nook. It reads equally well as an accent piece switched off during the day and as a genuine light source once evening comes in.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every Milan lamp is made to order from solid brass and mouth blown glass at the brand's Namyslow workshop, and the three arm format is the largest and most sculptural expression of the Milan design, built on the same brass and glass vocabulary as the smaller single arm version.

Questions People Ask

Can the arms be adjusted or repositioned?
No, the three arms are fixed at their designed angles and heights. The composition is set at the point of manufacture rather than something to be rearranged in situ.

Is this lamp dimmable with a standard dimmer switch?
Only with electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmers. A standard leading edge dimmer is not compatible with the LED bulbs supplied.

Does it come with bulbs included?
Yes, all three G4 LED bulbs are included and fitted as part of the made to order build.
