The Schwung Dawn Dual wall sconce extends the angled globe and frame format of the Dawn Single into a paired configuration, with two transparent glass globes set side by side, each held at a slight angle within its own brass frame. The result has more visual weight than the single version while keeping the same warm, direct quality of light.

Both globes measure 150mm in diameter, in clear borosilicate glass that leaves each bulb fully visible. Set side by side and each angled slightly outward, the pair casts a wider spread of warm, direct light than a single globe alone, while keeping the same close range, jewellery like quality that defines the Dawn design.

Choose Your Finish

The Dawn Dual is available with its brass frame in Black Gunmetal, Lacquered Burnished Brass or Polished Nickel. Black Gunmetal gives the paired frame a dark, understated presence on the wall. Lacquered Burnished Brass keeps a warm, traditional brass tone across both frames. Polished Nickel adds a cooler, reflective surface that doubles the catch light between the two globes.

How It Works

Each globe takes a 1.6W G4 LED bulb, included, giving a warm 2700K glow at around 180 lumens per bulb, approximately 360 lumens in total. The sconce is dimmable, but only with electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmers. It measures 478mm in height, 150mm in width and projects 193mm from the wall, with a circular backplate of 120mm diameter and 38mm depth. The complete fitting weighs 2kg. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and carries CE/UL certification with a 2 year warranty.

Where It Works Best

The Dawn Dual works well above a console table, flanking a bed as a pair positioned either side, or in a hallway where its stronger, paired presence suits a more generous wall than the single version. It's one of the more distinctive wall fittings in the Schwung range, with enough material and visual weight to work as a standalone feature rather than needing a second sconce alongside it.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every Dawn sconce is made to order in solid brass and hand blown glass at the Namyslow workshop. Schwung offers the Dawn in both Single and Dual formats, giving the same angled brass and glass detailing in two different scales of wall fitting.
