Five Globes, Five Sizes

The Schwung Cluster 5 Light Mix chandelier suspends five transparent glass globes, each a different diameter, from a round brass ceiling plate. Rather than repeating a single globe size, the Mix version deliberately varies the scale of every globe, from 150mm up to 350mm, so the fitting reads as an assembled composition rather than a uniform run of lights.

Five Different Diameters in Transparent Glass

The five globes measure 350mm, 300mm, 250mm, 200mm and 150mm in diameter, all in clear borosilicate glass that leaves the bulb inside visible. It's this genuine mix of sizes, one of each, that gives the Cluster 5 Light Mix its name and its character, the largest globe anchoring the group while the smaller ones sit around and between it. The drop is highly adjustable, from as little as 880mm up to 3150mm, making it one of the more flexible chandeliers in the range for room height.

Choose Your Finish

The Cluster 5 Light Mix is available with its brass ceiling plate in Black Gunmetal, Lacquered Burnished Brass or Polished Nickel. Black Gunmetal keeps the plate dark and understated so attention stays on the five glass globes. Lacquered Burnished Brass gives a warm, traditional brass tone across the plate and drop cables. Polished Nickel brings a cooler, reflective finish that plays off the transparent glass.

How It Works

Each of the five globes takes a 1.6W G4 LED bulb, included, giving a warm 2700K glow at around 180 lumens per bulb, approximately 900 lumens in total. The fitting is dimmable, but only with electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmers. The brass ceiling plate measures 719mm in length and 619mm in width, with a drop ranging from 880mm to a generous 3150mm. The complete fitting weighs 17kg. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and carries CE/UL certification with a 2 year warranty.

Where It Works Best

The wide drop range makes the Cluster 5 Light Mix particularly suited to spaces with real ceiling height, a double height or vaulted sitting room, a stairwell, or a generous entrance hall where the varied globe sizes benefit from room to breathe. It also works well over a large dining table or in a kitchen where a single sculptural pendant replaces a run of downlights. Given its 17kg weight, confirm the ceiling structure can take the load before installing.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every fitting, including the Cluster, is made to order in solid brass and hand blown glass at the Namyslow workshop. According to Schwung, mixing globe sizes within one fitting, as seen here across five different diameters, is intended to create a sense of depth and movement that a uniform arrangement can't achieve.
