A Floating Cluster of Glass
Nineteen borosilicate glass globes of varying sizes gather beneath a circular brass canopy, grouped together in a dense, floating formation that fills a ceiling with light and movement. Graphic black suspension lines hold the composition together and give it a precise, architectural quality that keeps the whole thing from reading as purely decorative. It works equally well hung low as a chandelier or set close to the ceiling as a flush or semi flush fitting, which makes it more adaptable than most pieces of this scale.
Choose Your Finish
The Cloud 250 comes in three frame finishes: Polished Nickel, a cool, reflective metal that reads as more contemporary; Lacquered Burnished Brass, warmer and slightly aged in tone; and Black Gunmetal, a dark, matte finish that lets the glass globes do the visual work. Across all three the glass itself stays the same, clear borosilicate spheres that catch and scatter light rather than diffusing it.
How It Works
Nineteen G4 LED bulbs are included (1.6W each), producing 3,420 lumens at a warm 2700K. It's dimmable, but only with electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmers. The fitting is rated IP20, so it's intended for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or wet spaces. Fully assembled it measures 849mm in height and 1195mm in diameter, and weighs 22kg. Bulbs and canopy fixings are included in the box.
Where It Works Best
The Cloud 250's dual personality, chandelier or flush fitting, makes it useful in rooms where ceiling height is a constraint as much as a feature: a dining room with a standard ceiling, a double height hallway, or a stairwell where a hanging chandelier isn't practical. Wherever it goes, it wants to be the ceiling's main event rather than a supporting fitting.
Made by Schwung
Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. According to Schwung, every glass component across the collection is hand blown, and the Cloud 250 puts that craft on full display, using the sheer number of globes rather than a single dramatic shape to create its effect.

Questions People Ask
Can the Cloud 250 be fitted as a flush ceiling light?
Yes, it's designed to work equally well as a hanging chandelier or as a flush or semi flush fitting, depending on how it's installed.
What dimmer do I need for the Cloud 250?
An electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmer. The included LED bulbs are not compatible with standard leading edge dimmers.
How heavy is the Cloud 250?
It weighs 22kg fully assembled, so the ceiling fixing point needs to be able to support that load.
