Two transparent glass globes of matching 150mm diameter are suspended from a pivoting brass arm, each one seated at its own end so the fitting reads as a single continuous gesture rather than two separate lights. The Balance 150x150 is the more symmetrical member of the Balance family, built around the idea of equilibrium between two identical forms rather than the deliberate tension of mismatched sizes.

Transparent Glass, Two Ways

Both globes are mouth blown from clear glass, exposing the LED capsule bulb inside each one rather than softening it behind a diffusing shade. Hung alone, the pendant has a quiet, almost meditative symmetry, hung in a row above a kitchen island or dining table, the repetition of matched glass spheres builds a rhythm that is more considered than a run of identical single pendants.

Choose Your Finish

The pivoting arm and mounting are available in Black Gunmetal, Lacquered Burnished Brass, or Polished Nickel, so the metal tone can be chosen to sit with or against the room's existing brass and metalwork.

How It Works

Each globe takes a G4 LED capsule bulb (included), rated at a maximum of 1.6W at 12V and around 180 lumens per bulb, at a warm 2700K, dimmable only with electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmers. Extension rods are included, allowing the drop to be set at a range of ceiling heights, from around 73cm up to approximately 163cm. The fitting has an overall width of around 90.4cm and weighs approximately 2.5kg fully assembled.

Where It Works Best

Above a kitchen island, a dining table, or a console, either as a single fitting or repeated in a row. Because both globes sit at matching heights, it suits spaces where a calm, ordered symmetry is wanted rather than the more dynamic asymmetry of the 200x150 version.

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. The Balance pendant is made to order in solid brass and mouth blown glass at the Namyslow workshop, its pivoting arm engineered to hold the two globes in a stable equilibrium regardless of the finish chosen.

What is the difference between the 150x150 and the 200x150?
The 150x150 has two globes of matching 150mm diameter, giving a symmetrical look, while the 200x150 pairs a larger 200mm globe with a smaller 150mm one for a more asymmetrical composition.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?
The included extension rods allow the drop to be set within a range of roughly 73cm to 163cm at the point of installation, so it is worth confirming the desired height with your electrician before fitting.
