One Brass Stem, One Point of Light
The Schwung Babylon Single Pendant drops a slender brass stem from the ceiling and finishes it with a single warm LED framed by brass discs, with a sphere of natural marble set along its line. It's a quiet, vertical piece that draws the eye without taking over the room.
Four Finish and Marble Pairings
The brass is offered in four finishes, each matched to its own marble:
- Classic Bronze and Rosso Levanto
- Mahogany Brass and Calacatta Viola
- Tarnished Silver Brass and Calacatta Black
- Vintage Brass and Verde Alpi
Natural stone varies, so expect the marble on your pendant to show slightly different veining and tone from the photographs.
How It Works
Hanging Height
It hangs from the ceiling, and Schwung gives an overall height of 622mm at its shortest and 3188mm at its longest, so it can sit neatly under a lower ceiling or hang long through a stairwell or double height space.
Light Output
A 4W LED bulb (around 15W halogen equivalent) is included, giving 220 lumens of warm 2200 to 3000K light, ideal for a focused glow over a surface rather than lighting a whole room.
Where It Works Best
Only 122mm across, it looks its best hung in a row over a kitchen island or dining table, as a pair either side of a bed in place of bedside lamps, or as one long drop in a hallway or stairwell.
Made By Schwung
Schwung's founders came to lighting from craft backgrounds: Rudi Nijssen as an antiques dealer and Dominique Sente as a goldsmith. Their designs are drawn in house and produced in Poland in solid brass with glass or marble, and each one is finished by hand.
