A Pendant That Branches in Two
The Schwung Babylon Double Pendant starts as a single brass stem that descends from the ceiling and then splits, sending out two branches that each hold a warm LED framed in brass discs, set off by natural marble. It's a sculptural way to bring two points of light to one spot.
Four Finish and Marble Pairings
The metalwork comes in four finishes, each paired with a different marble:
- Classic Bronze and Rosso Levanto
- Mahogany Brass and Calacatta Viola
- Tarnished Silver Brass and Calacatta Black
- Vintage Brass and Verde Alpi
Marble is quarried stone, so the pattern on your pendant will differ slightly from the photos and from any other piece.
How It Works
Adjustable Drop
Schwung supplies extension rods with the pendant, giving an overall height from 1071mm up to 1971mm, so the drop can be set to suit the ceiling height and what it hangs over.
Light Output
Two included 4W LED bulbs (around 15W halogen equivalent each) give 440 lumens in total, at a warm 2200 to 3000K colour temperature.
Where It Works Best
With a span of 506mm, it's well proportioned over a small dining table, a kitchen island or a desk, and makes a striking single feature in a hallway, landing or stairwell.
Made By Schwung
Schwung was founded by antiques dealer Rudi Nijssen and former goldsmith Dominique Sente. Each fitting is designed by the studio and made in Poland, combining solid brass with mouth blown or cast glass or natural stone, and every piece is hand finished before dispatch.
