Two Steady Points Of Light

This is a two light bathroom wall fitting with a fluted opal glass shade on each arm, mounted either side of a round chrome backplate. In polished chrome the metal is bright and reflective rather than matte, so it throws back light and works well against white tiles, mirrored cabinets or chrome taps. The shades are ribbed glass rather than plain, which softens the light rather than leaving a hard bright point.

Chrome Or Brushed Brass

The same fitting is also available in brushed brass. Chrome is the pick for a bathroom already fitted out in chrome or nickel, where you want the light fitting to disappear into the existing hardware. Brass suits a warmer palette, oak or walnut vanities and darker tiling, where a bright chrome finish would stand out too much. The glasswork and the arm shape are the same on both, so it comes down to matching what is already on your wall.

How It Works

Each arm takes one 3.5W LED G9 lamp, two in total, and bulbs are not included. It will dim if you fit dimmable G9 lamps and a compatible dimmer, though a standard G9 will run at a single fixed brightness. This is a Class I fitting, so it needs a proper earth connection, and as a hardwired fixture it should be put up by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

At 35.7cm wide, it suits a single vanity mirror or a narrower run of wall above one basin. Its three light sibling extends to 61cm and carries an extra shade, better suited to a wider double mirror or a longer wall where more spread of light is needed. Both versions sit at the same 23.7cm height and project the same 17.1cm off the wall.

A Family Business Since 1986

Ira Phillips joined Quoizel in 1964 as Director of Merchandising and Sales, then bought the company outright in 1986. It remains privately held and family run today, having passed from its founder Michael Chaikin to the Phillips family rather than to a larger group.
