A Geometric Arm, Not a Dome
Pomeroy moves away from the traditional Tiffany silhouette you might expect from Quoizel and goes architectural instead. A curved bronze arm sweeps up from a square plinth and cantilevers the flat panelled shade out and above it, so the light source sits offset from the base rather than directly on top of it. The shade itself is made from amber toned art glass in clean, straight panels, held in a dark leaded frame, closer to Prairie school design than the floral Tiffany work Quoizel is also known for.
Western Bronze, Head to Foot
This listing is offered in a single finish, Western Bronze, which covers the curved arm, the square base and the metal framing around the shade in one consistent dark bronze tone. The amber glass panels themselves show gentle streaking and colour variation typical of hand finished art glass, so no two shades will look completely identical, though the overall amber tone stays consistent.
How It Works
One E27 bulb is required and is not supplied. Quoizel notes it is compatible with dimmable smart bulbs, so a smart LED on a compatible app or hub will let you dim it without a physical dimmer switch fitted. Wiring is Class I, so it needs an earthed socket, and it comes with a standard 2 year guarantee.
Where It Works Best
At 54.8cm tall with a 33cm by 38.1cm footprint, Pomeroy suits a desk, console table or sideboard where the cantilevered arm has room to swing out over the surface rather than sitting flush against a wall behind it. Quoizel lists it for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways. The offset arm design also means the light falls slightly forward of the base, which is worth allowing for if you are placing it close to a wall.
Quoizel, Then and Now
Quoizel was founded in 1930 in Manhattan by Michael Chaikin, initially making oil burning hurricane lamps rather than anything wired for electricity. Ira Phillips joined the company in 1964 as Director of Merchandising and Sales and bought it outright in 1986, and the Phillips family has run it ever since. Manufacturing and distribution moved from New York to a large site near Charleston, South Carolina in 1996, and the company remains privately and family held today.

Questions People Ask
Is this a genuine Tiffany glass shade? The shade is art glass in flat, geometric panels rather than the leaded Tiffany style glass used on some other Quoizel lamps. It shares the same hand finished quality but the look is more architectural than floral.
What bulb do I need? One E27 bulb, not supplied. A dimmable smart bulb will let you dim it without needing a separate dimmer switch.
Does it need an electrician to install? No. It is a plug in table lamp, so there is no hardwired installation involved, just an earthed socket to plug it into.
