A Stained Glass Skylight Overhead

The Maybeck flush fitting takes the same angular, hand pieced art glass as the rest of the range and turns it into a ceiling light, so the glow comes from directly above rather than from a lamp in the corner of a room. Fitted close to the ceiling on a square bronze mount, it reads almost like a small stained glass skylight once the bulbs are lit.

One Valiant Bronze Finish, No Two Shades Alike

The mount and trim are finished in Valiant Bronze, a dark bronze with warm red glints where the light catches the edges of the square canopy. The panels of the shade itself are hand selected art glass in blue grey, amber, cream and small deep red accents, cut and leaded in the angular, radiating lines of Prairie School design. Because every sheet of glass is unique, the exact pattern on your fitting will vary slightly from the next one made.

How It Works

This fitting takes two E27 bulbs, not supplied, and is dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs, though it has no dimmer built in. It is Class I, so it needs an earthed supply, and being a ceiling fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician rather than fitted as a DIY job.

At 36.7cm square and 19.6cm deep it sits close to the ceiling, which suits rooms with lower ceiling heights where the floor lamp or table lamp versions of Maybeck would take up space you do not have.
