A Small Point Of Amber Light For Multiples
The Laguna mini pendant is the smallest member of the family, a slim cylinder of mica banded with copper toned tiles. Hung singly over a desk or grouped in a row above a kitchen island, it gives a soft, warm glow rather than a bright wash of light.
Renaissance Copper On A Small Scale
Finished in the same Renaissance Copper as the rest of the Laguna range, this mini pendant is a dark bronzed metal frame around a narrow cylinder of taupe mica, with a band of small coppery glass tiles wrapped around its middle. Because the shade is so much smaller than its siblings, the tile pattern reads almost as a single wide stripe rather than the grid effect seen on the larger pendant and lamps. The suspension rod above is finished in the same dark bronzed tone.
How It Works
It takes a single E27 bulb, not supplied, so you can choose a warm LED to suit the mica glow. Wiring is Class I, so it needs an earthed connection, and as a ceiling fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician. It will only dim if you fit a dimmable bulb, there is no dimmer built into the fitting itself. The drop is adjustable between 40.6cm and 115.6cm using the rods provided, useful for setting a row of pendants to hang at exactly the same height.
Where It Works Best
At just 15.2cm across and 19.1cm tall, this is by far the smallest fitting in the Laguna range, built to be used in twos or threes over a kitchen island or breakfast bar rather than as the sole light in a room. Where the four light pendant and the table and floor lamps throw a broad pool of light, this mini pendant gives a single point of warm glow, so most kitchens use several strung along a run of worktop.
About Quoizel
Quoizel has been making lamps since 1930, when Michael Chaikin started the company in Manhattan selling oil burning hurricane lamps rather than anything electric. One design from those early years, the Abigail Adams lamp, stayed in the catalogue for decades after the rest of the range had gone electric, a rare piece of continuity for a company that has otherwise moved a long way from its beginnings. Quoizel is still privately owned today.

Questions People Ask
Can I hang several of these at the same height? Yes, the rods let you set the drop anywhere between 40.6cm and 115.6cm, so a row of pendants can be matched exactly.
How does this compare with the 4 light pendant? This mini pendant is a single small shade with one bulb, while the larger pendant is 55.9cm across with four bulbs, so most people use several minis together rather than one on its own.
What bulb does it need? One E27 bulb, not supplied.
