Kami is offered only in this Vintage Bronze finish, so choice comes down to the glass pattern rather than metal tone. The dome shows the same amber, caramel, ginger and emerald palette as the rest of the range, arranged in an Art Nouveau flower pattern with hand cut lead lines and round glass jewels at the centre of each bloom. The ornate scrollwork fitting where the chain meets the shade, and the ceiling rose above it, are both finished in the same bronze so the whole hang reads as one piece from ceiling to shade.

How It Works

Three E27 lamps sit inside the dome, bulbs not supplied, switched together by a single pull chain on the shade. It is Class I, needing an earth connection, and dims only with dimmable bulbs fitted. The dome measures 50.8cm across and 26.7cm deep, and the chain adjusts the drop from 39.4cm right up to 210cm, so it can hang close under a low ceiling or drop well down a stairwell. At 6kg it is the heaviest fitting in the Kami range, so check your ceiling fixing can take the weight. This is a hardwired pendant and should be fitted by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

That long maximum drop makes this the Kami piece best suited to stairwells and double height spaces, as well as more usual spots like a dining table, living room or bedroom. With three lamps behind a 50.8cm dome it gives noticeably more light and presence than the two lamp flush fitting or wall uplighter, while the adjustable chain gives it a flexibility neither of those two ceiling mounted pieces has.
