A Curve That Catches the Light
Some lamps stand up straight and get on with it. The Jenkins leans into a long brass arc instead, sweeping up from a weighted round base to a cream shade that seems to float above the table. A single crystal ball sits at the turn of the arm, catching whatever light is nearby and throwing small reflections across the room.
Choosing Your Finish
This one comes in Brushed Brass, a warm honeyed gold with a soft, matte texture rather than a mirror shine, so fingerprints and dust do not show the way they would on a polished metal. Every joint along the arm, the crystal ball mount and the wide round foot share that same brushed finish, and the cream linen hardback shade stays neutral enough to sit against most wall colours. If you want the same silhouette in a cooler tone, the Jenkins is also made in Polished Nickel, which reads more silver and reflective on the shelf.
How It Works
The Jenkins takes a single E27 bulb, not supplied, so you can choose your own colour temperature and brightness. It is dimmable when fitted with a dimmable bulb. This is a Class I fitting, which means it needs an earth connection, standard for a lamp with a metal body like this. As a plug in table lamp there is no hardwired installation to arrange, you simply fit a bulb and plug it in.
Where It Works Best
At 62.2cm tall with a 53.3cm reach and a 33cm depth at the base, the Jenkins wants a side table, console or large nightstand rather than a small one, since the arm swings out well beyond the foot. It works well in a living room beside a chair, in a bedroom as a single reading light, or in a hallway on a console table. Next to its Polished Nickel sibling it is the warmer choice for rooms with wood tones or brass hardware already in play.
Made In Manhattan, Still Family Owned
Quoizel started in 1930 as a small lamp company in Manhattan, founded by Michael Chaikin. Its earliest products were not electric at all, they were hurricane lamps that burned oil, and one of those early designs, the Abigail Adams lamp, stayed in the catalogue for decades after the company had long since moved into wired lighting. The Jenkins is a long way from an oil lamp, but it comes from the same maker that made that first, careful transition from flame to filament.

Questions People Ask
Does the Jenkins come with a bulb? No, it takes a single E27 bulb which is not included, so you can pick the brightness and warmth you prefer.
Is this the same lamp as the Polished Nickel version? Yes, same arc, same crystal ball and same shade size, just finished in a warmer brushed brass instead of a cool nickel.
Can I use a dimmer with it? Yes, as long as the bulb you fit is itself dimmable.
