A Sunburst for the Dining Table
Hang this one where people gather. The Inglenook inverted pendant drops a wide pyramid of hand cut art glass over a table or kitchen island, and when the lamps are lit the whole shade glows amber, cream and deep sapphire from below.
The Valiant Bronze Finish
This SKU comes in a single finish, Valiant Bronze, a warm dark bronze on the metal canopy, rod and four link chains. The glass itself is the real event, geometric panels of amber, tan and cream stained glass, banded with sapphire blue and deep green, and picked out with small red and amber accent squares along the border. No two panels are identical, which is normal for handmade art glass and part of the appeal rather than a fault.
How It Works
Three E27 lamps sit inside the shade, and bulbs are not supplied so you can choose your own colour temperature. The fitting is rated Class I, which means it needs an earth connection, and it will dim if you fit dimmable E27 bulbs, though the fitting itself has no built in dimmer. It weighs 6.3kg, so as with any large glass pendant, fit it to a proper ceiling rose or joist fixing and have a qualified electrician carry out the installation. Being handmade from individual pieces of glass, it can also arrive needing a short final assembly stage, so unpack it carefully.
Where It Works Best
At 44.5cm wide and 64.8cm from canopy to shade rim, this is the widest spread pendant in the Inglenook family, and the four chain suspension lets you shorten or lengthen the drop from 74.9cm right down to 221cm at a push, so it will work over a low coffee table or drop further down a stairwell or hallway void. It reads well in a living room, dining room, bedroom or hallway. If you want the same glass over a longer table or a games table, the Inglenook island chandelier gives you a rectangular shade on a two point bar rather than this single point pyramid.
Made By Quoizel
Quoizel started life in Manhattan in 1930, a small maker of hurricane lamps burning oil rather than electricity. As homes wired up through the twentieth century the company moved with them, into hardwired chandeliers, pendants and sconces like this one, while keeping the hand finished glasswork that made its name.

Will it dim? Only if you fit dimmable E27 bulbs. The pendant has no dimmer built in.
How low can I hang it? The chain lets you set the drop anywhere between 74.9cm and 221cm, so it suits both standard ceilings and taller stairwells.
