Wall Light That Throws Colour Upward
Mounted flat to the wall, the Inglenook uplighter sends light up rather than down, washing the wall and ceiling above it in warm amber and cream through the cut glass shade. It is a half moon shape rather than a full box, so it sits close and unobtrusive against the plaster.
The Valiant Bronze Finish
Only valiant bronze is offered on this fitting, a dark, slightly uneven bronze on the frame that sets off glass running from honey amber and pale cream through slate blue and olive green, with small red and gold accent squares along the top edge. The stepped border pattern along the top mirrors the rest of the Inglenook range, just fanned out into a wall shaped half circle instead of a square shade.
How It Works
It takes two E14 bulbs, a smaller fitting than the E27 used elsewhere in the Inglenook range, and they are not supplied. As a hardwired wall fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and it is Class I, so it needs a proper earth connection. There are no pull chains on this piece, it is switched from a wall switch, and dimming only works if you fit dimmable bulbs with a compatible dimmer. It measures 40.6cm wide, 17.8cm high and 14cm deep.
Where It Works Best
Rated for living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, this is the piece to use where you want ambient light washing up a wall rather than a pool of light falling downward, a hallway or landing wall works especially well. It is the only uplighter in the Inglenook range, everything else in the family throws light down or outward rather than up.

Does it need an electrician to fit? Yes, this is a hardwired wall fitting, so it should be installed by a qualified electrician.
