A Ceiling Light With Full Stained Glass Colour

The Inglenook semi flush brings the same hand cut art glass as the rest of the range to a ceiling fitting that sits close to the plaster rather than hanging on a cord. Switch it on and the fan shaped shade throws warm amber and cream light outward, with slate blue and deep green picking out the edges.

The Valiant Bronze Finish

There is one finish here, valiant bronze, and on this piece it shows up as a dark bronze frame around glass that runs from honey amber and pale cream through slate blue and a mossy green, with small red and gold squares set into the top border. The shade flares outward in four flat panels rather than sitting as a plain box, so the colour spreads wide across a ceiling rather than staying tight to the centre.

How It Works

Two E27 bulbs sit inside the shade, and they are not supplied, so choose warm white LEDs to match the glass tones. This is a hardwired ceiling fitting, so it should be installed by a qualified electrician. It is Class I, meaning it needs a proper earth connection, and it will only dim if you fit dimmable bulbs alongside a compatible dimmer switch, there is no dimming built into the fitting itself. The shade measures 35.6cm across and the whole fitting stands 20.3cm proud of the ceiling.

Listed for living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, this is the widest room list in the Inglenook range, and it is the piece to reach for where a pendant would hang too low but a fully flush fitting feels too flat. Unlike the outdoor flush version, this one is built for indoor ceilings only, and unlike the floor and table lamps, it needs no side table or floor space at all.
