The Valiant Bronze Finish

Only one finish is offered here, valiant bronze, and outdoors it reads as a dark, slightly weathered brown rather than a shiny black. The square frame and central mounting stem are bronze metal, while the glass panels run through honey amber, cream, moss green and sapphire blue, with small deep red and gold squares set into the border strip around the top edge. The pattern is symmetrical on all four sides, so it looks the same whichever direction you approach it from.

How It Works

Two E27 bulbs are needed, not supplied, and both come on together rather than independently since this is a single flush fitting with no pull chains. It is IP44 rated, so it copes with splashing rain and damp air under a porch canopy, and it is Class I, meaning it must be properly earthed. Dimming is only possible with dimmable bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch. As a hardwired outdoor ceiling fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.
