Polished Nickel or Brushed Brass

Polished nickel is the brighter, more reflective option in this pair, a proper shine rather than a brushed or satin finish, carried through the ceiling plate, the three curved support arms and the small finial below the glass. If you prefer a warmer, more matte tone, the same design is also made in brushed brass. The glass itself, the support arms and the bulb layout are identical between the two, so this is really a finish decision rather than a size or shape one.

How It Works

Two E27 bulbs sit low in the seeded glass drum, held on nickel lamp holders fixed to a central bar, which keeps the whole fitting semi flush to the ceiling rather than dropping down like a pendant. No bulbs are included, so choose your own, and fit dimmable bulbs if you want to dim the light and already have a compatible switch. It is Class I, meaning it must be earthed, and being a hardwired ceiling fitting it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Questions People Ask

How is this different from the brushed brass Hollister? Only the finish changes, brushed brass gives a warmer matte tone while polished nickel is brighter and more reflective, the glass, size and bulb setup are the same on both.

What bulbs does it take? Two E27 bulbs, not supplied, so you can pick the colour temperature and style you want, an LED filament bulb tends to look best since it is visible through the glass.

Is it dimmable? Only if you fit dimmable bulbs and have a compatible dimmer switch, the fitting itself does not include a built in dimmer.
