What Polished Nickel Looks Like In Practice

The photos show a genuinely bright, chrome like shine rather than a brushed or satin finish, so expect visible reflections and highlights along the banding rather than a soft matte surface. Underneath, the glass body is clear and vertically ribbed, and the shade is a soft ivory fabric, tapering from a narrower top to a wider base with a fine trim at each edge.

How It Works

This lamp takes a single E27 bulb, not supplied. It only dims if you fit a dimmable bulb, a standard bulb will not respond to a dimmer. Electrically it is Class I, so it needs a properly earthed connection, and as a table lamp it plugs straight in with no hardwired installation required.

Quoizel started out in 1930 as a small lamp company in Manhattan, founded by Michael Chaikin, and its earliest products were oil burning hurricane lamps rather than anything electric.
