A Honeycomb Over The Table
Five hexagons locked edge to edge in a staggered row, three sitting high and two dropping low, so the whole thing reads as a slice of honeycomb rather than a line of pendants. Each cell holds a brass socket at the top with the lamp hanging down inside the frame.
Earth Black And Brass, And How It Reads
The steel is Earth Black, a matt dark charcoal without any shine, and the sockets are aged brass with a soft brushed grain. Seen against a white wall, as in the room photograph, the frames turn into a graphic black drawing and the brass becomes the only warm note. There is one finish here and no variant to choose, which is why black, gold and brass all appear as colour tags. Worth knowing before you order: the lamps hang below the sockets on this model, so the bulbs you fit become part of the silhouette in a way they do not on a shaded pendant.
How It Works
Five E27 lamps, one per hexagon, all top mounted with the bulbs pointing down. Bulbs are not supplied. The frame hangs on two slim rods from a rectangular ceiling bar 51cm long, 11cm wide and 2cm deep, with a short chain at the top of each rod for levelling. The rods extend from a minimum drop of 33cm up to 129.5cm at their longest. Dimming works if you fit dimmable lamps and a suitable dimmer. It is Class I, so an earth connection is required, and at 7.7kg on a bar fixing it is a job for a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
This is the long one in the family, 101.6cm from end to end but only 6cm deep, which is the whole reason it exists. It sits along a kitchen island or a rectangular dining table and casts light down the length of a surface instead of in a pool. Turn it side on and the depth almost disappears. By contrast the five light chandelier gathers the same hexagons into a 63.6cm circle for round tables, the mini pendant is a single 25.4cm hexagon you can hang in a row of two or three, and the wall light fixes the shape to a wall. Hang this one high enough to keep the bulbs out of your sightline across the table, since there is no shade to hide behind.

Ira Phillips joined Quoizel in 1964 as Director of Merchandising and Sales and bought the company outright in 1986. It has stayed private ever since, run by the Phillips family after the Chaikins who started it in 1930. Questions People Ask
Will it suit a standard kitchen island? At 101.6cm long it covers most of a typical island run and only projects 6cm, so it stays visually light above a worktop. Centre it on the island rather than the ceiling, since the bar has two fixed rod positions.
Which bulbs look right in it? Five E27 lamps, hanging nose down and fully visible. Clear teardrop or squirrel cage filament styles match the industrial framing. Opal lamps work too but you lose the detail of the brass holders.
Can I dim it? Yes, provided the lamps you fit are dimmable and the wall dimmer is compatible with them. There is no dimming built into the fitting itself.
