Quintiesse Wynwood 1 Light Wall Light - Urban Bronze

The Wynwood wall light channels the look of vintage industrial hardware into a fitting sized for everyday rooms. A slim steel frame carries a single glossy opal glass shade, with exposed metal loop details at the fixing points giving the whole piece a sense of engineered, machine made character rather than a purely decorative one.

Urban Bronze finish

This version is finished in Urban Bronze, a deep, weathered toned bronze that sits somewhere between antique brass and blackened steel. The tone plays down the shine of the steel and lets the opal glass shade do the work of softening the light, so it suits darker paint colours, exposed brick and other pared back, industrial leaning interiors as easily as a more traditional hallway.

How it works

The fitting takes a single 60W E27 bulb, which is not supplied. It is dimmable, but only if you fit a dimmable bulb; with a standard bulb the light will simply switch on and off. It is wired to Class I electrical standards, so it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 40cm high and projecting 12.7cm from the wall, this is a fitting for corridors, stairwells, either side of a bed, or flanking a fireplace, anywhere a single pool of warm light is more useful than an overhead wash. Quintiesse lists it as suited to living rooms, dining rooms, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms, and its slim 12.1cm width means it will not crowd a narrow hallway or landing.
