Quintiesse Vaughan Wall Light - Bronze & Gold

The Vaughan Wall Light takes the collection's flowing wave form and turns it sideways into a horizontal wall fitting. Rather than a visible bulb or shade, the light is indirect, washing softly across the wall and ceiling around it for a calm, ambient effect.

Bronze and painted gold finish

Built from steel and finished in bronze with painted gold picking out the curve of the wave, it carries the same tonal warmth as the Large and Medium chandeliers in the range, so the three work well used together in one scheme, or the wall light can stand alone as a quieter, flatter version of the same design language.

How it works

Like the rest of the Vaughan range, this fitting runs on an integrated LED module rather than a separate bulb, rated at 35W and producing 1100 lumens of warm white 3000K light. As the light source is built in, there is nothing extra to source for illumination, though a compatible dimmer switch is needed if you want to dim it, and this isn't included. It's a Class II, double insulated fitting, so it doesn't require an earthed connection. Unlike the chandeliers in the range, this is a fixed wall mounted fitting with no adjustable drop.

Where it works best

At 61cm wide and projecting just 10cm from the wall, it's slim enough for hallways, landings, and bedrooms where floor or ceiling space is at a premium, and its horizontal form works well as a pair either side of a bed, mirror, or feature wall. Because the light is indirect rather than glare producing, it also suits living rooms where you want a secondary, softer light source alongside main ceiling lighting. At 6.68kg it's a comparatively light fitting for its scale, though as with any wall mounted piece it should still be fixed into a solid point rather than plasterboard alone.
