Quintiesse Valencia 1 Light Wall Light - Vintage Brass

With its faceted alabaster shade and warm brass detailing, the Valencia 1 Light Wall Light brings a softer, more traditional character to a room. The stone shade glows gently when lit and stands as a quiet piece of sculpture when it's off, making it as much a design object as a light source.

The Vintage Brass finish

Here the frame and wall plate are finished in Vintage Brass, an aged, slightly toned down brass rather than a bright polished one. It suits period properties and traditional interiors particularly well, but works just as comfortably in a contemporary room where you want a touch of warmth against the coolness of the pale stone shade.

How it works

The fitting is designed for a single 60W E27 bulb, which you'll need to source separately as bulbs are never supplied. Fit a dimmable bulb and the light will dim; fit a standard bulb and it won't, so it's worth checking compatibility with your dimmer switch if you have one. Being a Class I fitting, it must be wired to an earthed supply by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Measuring 38.1cm in height with a 9.1cm width and a 10.5cm projection, this is a slim, close fitting wall light rather than a bold statement piece, which makes it well suited to narrower hallways and stairwells where space is tight. It also works well as a pair either side of a bed or fireplace in a living room, or as accent lighting in a dining room alongside a central pendant.
