Quintiesse Triocent Single Bathroom Pendant / Semi-Flush - Natural Brass

The Triocent single light fitting switches easily between a hanging pendant and a close ceiling semi flush, so one fixture can suit two different looks depending on where and how you want to hang it. A wavy clear glass globe sits inside an exposed frame of visible fixing bolts and industrial style hardware, a combination that reads as equally at home in a modern scheme or a more traditional one.

The natural brass finish

This version is finished in natural brass, a warm toned metal that will develop a soft patina of its own character over time rather than staying mirror bright. Against the clear wavy glass, the brass frame and fixings show through the globe, giving the fitting a layered, almost mechanical look. It pairs naturally with warm woods, aged leather and other brass or bronze hardware in a room, and works equally well as a single statement point or repeated along a run.

How it works

It takes a single E27 bulb, which is not supplied. The fitting is dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs, standard bulbs will not dim even on a dimmer switch. The drop is adjustable between 37.6cm and 129cm, so you can set the hang height to suit the room before wiring in.

Where it works best

Because it converts between a pendant and a semi flush fitting, it is a flexible choice for rooms with different ceiling heights within the same scheme, hallways and landings where a lower hanging pendant might catch heads, or bathrooms where a closer to ceiling fit is sometimes preferred. Its compact 31cm height and 24cm depth also make it a good option for smaller rooms and en suites where a bulkier fitting would dominate the space.

Quintiesse craftsmanship

Quintiesse is a premium brand within the Elstead Lighting Group, and states that its products go through prototyping, batch inspection and quality sign off before release, work carried out through operations in the UK and Poland that are ISO 9001:2015 certified. The brand also describes many of its finishes, including hand applied metal patinas of the kind used here, as drawing on artisan techniques rather than mass uniform coatings.
