Quintiesse Thayer 2 Light Wall Light - Antique Gild

The Thayer wall light takes the collection's traditional four sided lantern shape and softens it with graceful curved lines, giving it a character that sits somewhere between classic carriage lighting and something a little more relaxed. Two candle style lights glow behind clear glass panels, finished in a rich Antique Gild that catches the light along its curves.

The Antique Gild finish

This piece is finished in Antique Gild over an aluminium frame, paired with clear glass and ivory candle tubes. The gilded tone has enough depth and warmth to work as a feature in its own right, and it sits comfortably alongside brass ironmongery, aged wood tones, or darker painted walls where you want the fitting itself to read as a small piece of hardware rather than disappearing into the background.

How it works

Thayer takes 2 x E14 LED bulbs, which are not supplied. It's dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs, so check compatibility before you buy. The fitting is rated Class I, which means it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. As a wall light it has a fixed projection rather than an adjustable drop.

Where it works best

With a projection of 17.8cm and a width of 25.2cm, this is a fitting sized for a wall rather than a statement centrepiece, which makes it well suited to hallways, either side of a front door, flanking a mirror in a dining room, or lighting a landing. It works particularly well in the living room, dining room, and hallway settings the Thayer collection was designed around.
