Quintiesse Sutcliffe 2 Light Wall Lantern - Aged Zinc & Antique Nickel

Where the single version of Sutcliffe suits a narrow doorway, this two light wall lantern is built for spaces that need a bit more presence and a bit more light. It stands taller at 43.1cm, houses two E14 candelabra style bulbs behind clear glass, and wears the same aged zinc body with an antique nickel reflector that has made this collection a familiar sight on period influenced exteriors.

Aged zinc and antique nickel finish

The exterior is finished in aged zinc, a soft grey with a deliberately weathered texture that Quintiesse works into the metal rather than leaving it flat and new looking. Inside, an antique nickel reflector throws the light forward and adds a cooler glint against the body colour, while clear glass keeps both bulbs visible rather than diffusing them.

How it works

Two E14 bulbs (not supplied) sit behind the glass, giving more overall output than the single lantern in this range without changing the silhouette. Fit dimmable bulbs and the fixture will dim, standard bulbs will only run at full brightness. It is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed supply and should only be wired in by a qualified electrician. The IP44 rating means it copes well in an exposed wall position that gets rain and wind.

Where it works best

At 43.1cm high and 22.8cm wide, this is the larger of the two Sutcliffe wall lanterns, and the extra scale and second bulb make it a good match for wider porches, either side of a substantial front door, or lighting a garage or side entrance where one bulb would not quite cover the space. At 4.6kg it is heavier than the single version, so use fixings rated for your wall material.
