Quintiesse Somerset Single Flush Fitting - Opal - Brushed Nickel

This flush fitting brings together two of the Somerset range's calmer combinations, opal glass and brushed nickel, for a ceiling light that gives soft, even light without drawing too much attention to itself.

Brushed nickel and opal glass

Brushed nickel has a muted, satin like surface rather than a shine, so it sits comfortably in most colour schemes without competing with other metalwork in the room. The opal glass diffuser it's paired with is a soft, milky white designed to spread light evenly rather than letting a bulb glow through as a single point, and the fitting keeps the collection's signature turned metal knob detail.

How it works

It takes 1 x E27 LED bulb, not supplied, and only dims if dimmable LED bulbs are fitted. Being Class I, it needs an earthed electrical supply and installation by a qualified electrician. There's no adjustable drop, as this is a flush ceiling fitting that sits directly against the ceiling.

Where it works best

At 2.5kg and 31.8cm high, it's well suited to kitchens, dining rooms and hallways where a softer, more diffused light is preferable to a sharper glow, and where ceiling height rules out a hanging pendant.
