The boldest pairing in the Somerset flush fitting range, this version sets clear seeded glass against a matte black frame for a ceiling light that's understated in profile but graphic in finish.

The black finish is flat and matte rather than glossy, giving the fitting a slightly industrial, contemporary edge. Clear seeded glass adds texture and a touch of vintage character, letting the bulb's light show through unevenly rather than being fully diffused, while the black turned knob detail ties it back to the rest of the Somerset collection.

How it works

It takes 1 x E27 LED bulb, not supplied, and dims only if dimmable LED bulbs are fitted. This is a Class I fitting, requiring an earthed electrical supply and installation by a qualified electrician. Being a flush fitting, it sits directly against the ceiling with no adjustable drop.

Where it works best

At 2.5kg and 31.8cm high, it works well in kitchens, dining rooms and hallways, particularly in more contemporary interiors where a black fitting can act as a small, deliberate contrast against a pale ceiling.
