Quintiesse Shaw 1 Light Wall Lantern - Black with Burnished Bronze accents

The Shaw 1 Light Wall Lantern is a traditional style lantern built for entrances, porches and garden walls, sized so it works comfortably either side of a front door or on its own beside a gate. Its aluminium frame and clear glass panels are joined by a rich two tone finish, giving it the kind of heritage character that suits period properties and new builds alike.

The frame is finished in black with burnished bronze picked out across its detailing, a combination that catches the light differently depending on the angle and time of day. It is the kind of finish that pairs naturally with stone, brick or render, and with ironmongery in either black or aged brass tones.

How it works

Shaw takes a single E27 bulb rated up to 40W (bulb not supplied), and dims if dimmable bulbs are fitted, so check compatibility before ordering. It is a Class I fitting and needs an earthed mains supply with installation carried out by a qualified electrician. With an IP44 rating, it is built to cope with wind blown rain and splashing, making it suitable for genuinely exposed exterior positions rather than just sheltered porches.

Where it works best

At 38.1cm high, 14.9cm wide and with a 15.1cm projection, this is the more compact of the two Shaw wall lanterns, well suited to narrower door surrounds, single sided mounting beside a front door, or spacing along a boundary wall where a larger fitting would look out of scale. Its IP44 rating means it holds up in an open porch, on a garage wall or at a garden gate.
