Quintiesse Sfera Wall Light - Teak Veneer

The Sfera Wall Light takes the collection's frosted opal glass globe and mounts it against a natural teak veneer backplate, giving you the same warm, organic glow as the pendants and table lamp but fixed to the wall. It reads as a quiet, decorative accent rather than a main light source, closer to the surface than a pendant so it suits tighter spots where a hanging fitting would get in the way.

The teak veneer finish

The backplate is finished in natural teak wood veneer with nickel plated aluminium detailing, holding the frosted opal glass globe close against the wall. Expect some natural variation in the veneer's grain and tone from piece to piece, and it works well flanking a mirror, either side of a bed, or dotted along a hallway with warm wood or brushed metal accents nearby.

How it works

It takes 1 x E27 golf ball bulb, not supplied, and is compatible with dimmable smart lamps, so fit a dimmable bulb if you want to dim it, as it won't dim with a standard lamp. The fitting projects around 19cm from the wall and is electrical Class II, double insulated, meaning it doesn't need a separate earth connection.

Where it works best

At 52.5cm high with a fairly shallow 19cm projection, this wall light is well suited to hallways and landings where floor space is tight, as well as bedrooms either side of a bed or a dressing table. The room data for this piece also covers living rooms, kitchens, and dining rooms, so it can equally be used as a softer accent alongside a main ceiling light rather than as the sole light source in a room.
