Quintiesse Sfera 1 Light Pendant Light - Teak Veneer

The Sfera 1 Light Pendant has an easy, asymmetric charm: an offset opal glass globe sits low against a natural teak veneer canopy, giving the fitting a slightly off centre silhouette that reads as more sculpture than standard light fitting. It is a compact single drop pendant, well suited to spaces where you want a warm focal point without a large piece of hardware overhead.

The teak veneer finish

The canopy and trim are finished in a natural teak wood veneer, so grain and tone vary slightly from one fitting to the next, giving each pendant its own individual character. It is paired with a frosted opal glass globe and a nickel plated aluminium ceiling pan, a combination that sits comfortably alongside oak and walnut furniture, brushed metal handles, and warm toned kitchen or dining schemes.

How it works

Sfera takes a single E27 golf ball bulb, which is not supplied. The bulb sits within the opal glass globe, and the fitting is compatible with dimmable smart lamps, so dimming is available if you fit a dimmable smart bulb rather than a standard one. The drop is adjustable from around 67.9cm to 327.9cm at the point of installation, letting you set the hang height to suit your ceiling. It is Class II, double insulated, so no separate earth connection is required, though we'd still recommend installation by a competent person if you are not confident working with ceiling wiring.

Where it works best

At 35cm wide, this is a single point pendant rather than a wide spread fitting, which makes it a natural choice above a bedside table, a small dining table, a kitchen counter, or as a single accent in a living room corner. The generous adjustable drop range also means it can work well in taller spaces such as stairwells or double height areas, where you need more flexibility to bring the light down to a useful level.
