Quintiesse Saucer 1 Light Medium Pendant - Aged Brass

The Saucer 1 Light Medium Pendant has the quiet, rounded charm of mid century design, a single opal glass shade held inside a steel frame finished in aged brass. It hangs on its own rather than shouting for attention, which is what makes it easy to place above a table or beside a bed and have it simply belong there.

Aged brass finish

The frame is steel, warmed by an aged brass finish that carries a soft, slightly weathered depth rather than a bright polished shine. It sits comfortably against warm woods, brushed metals and muted paint tones, and the cased opal glass shade glows with a gentle, even light rather than a hard glare, so the fixture reads as a soft furnishing as much as a light source.

How it works

This pendant takes 1 x E27 bulb, up to 40W, which is not supplied. It will dim if you fit dimmable bulbs, though it will not dim with standard bulbs. The drop is adjustable, from around 71.5cm to 162.9cm, so you can set the shade at the height that suits your table or ceiling. It's a Class I fitting, which means it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At a compact 56.5cm high and 36.6cm across, this is a good scale for a bedside pendant, a single drop over a small table, or as one of a pair flanking a dining area. The generous adjustable drop range makes it easy to bring the shade down low over a table for focused light, or raise it for a room with higher ceilings, so it works equally well in a living room, dining room or bedroom setting.
