The Rivamar Medium Outdoor Wall Light brings a generously scaled, coastal lantern silhouette to the exterior of the home, the kind of fitting that reads well beside a substantial front door or along a run of garden wall. Its black frame and brushed gold cage give it a transitional character that suits both traditional brick facades and cleaner, more contemporary render.

Black and brushed gold finish

The frame is built from black finished aluminium and steel, with a brushed gold cage wrapped around clear ribbed glass. The ribbing catches the light and adds texture to what would otherwise be a plain glass panel, while the contrast between the matt black and the warmer brushed gold keeps the lantern shape from feeling heavy. It sits comfortably against stone, brick, timber cladding or painted render.

How it works

This fitting takes a single E27 bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the warmth and brightness that suits the space. It is compatible with dimmable bulbs, though dimming will only work if a dimmable bulb is fitted. It is rated Class I, which means it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 41.1cm high with an 18.4cm projection, the Medium Rivamar has enough presence to work either side of a wider entrance, a set of double doors, or along a terrace wall where you want a stronger visual anchor. It also suits porches, garden walls and covered outdoor seating areas where a classic lantern shape feels at home.
