Quintiesse Ren Single Wall Light - Black & Gold

Part of the same collection as the Ren chandelier, this single wall light shrinks the idea down to a compact sconce without losing any of its character. A matte black pod houses a glowing globe, its interior finished in warm gold, so the fitting reads as a small, confident sculpture on the wall as much as a light source. It suits spaces where a pendant or chandelier would be too much, but a plain bracket light would not be enough.

The black and gold finish

The body is steel with faux alabaster detailing, given a matte black exterior and a gold toned interior lining that gives the diffused glow a warm, almost brass like cast. Because the fitting is small and the finish is doing most of the visual work, it reads well in pairs, either side of a mirror, a bed, or a fireplace, and it sits comfortably alongside black ironmongery, brass fittings or warm wood tones.

How it works

It takes a single 3W LED G9 bulb, not supplied, projecting 16.5cm from the wall. It will dim if you fit a dimmable bulb, though not otherwise. As a Class I fitting, it needs to be wired to an earthed supply, and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The wall plate and fitting are included; the bulb is not.

Where it works best

At just 25.4cm high and 14cm wide, this is a genuinely compact fitting, well suited to hallways, landings, and bedside walls where a full pendant would feel oversized. Because it weighs only 2kg, it is straightforward to hang and does not call for the kind of heavy duty fixing a larger ceiling fitting would need. It also works well used in matching pairs, flanking a bed, a console table, or either side of a hallway mirror where the same black and gold detailing can be echoed at a smaller scale.
