Quintiesse Orbit Pendant Light - Teak Veneer

The Orbit Pendant brings a quiet, sculptural warmth to a room: a softly glowing opal glass globe held within a ring of natural teak wood veneer. The wood grain catches the light differently depending on the angle you view it from, giving the fitting a handmade, organic character that sits comfortably in both contemporary and more relaxed interiors.

Teak veneer finish

The defining detail of this version is its teak wood veneer ring, a warm, honey toned wood that wraps around the opal glass shade like a frame. The veneer is paired with nickel plated aluminium fittings for a clean, understated finish that reads as natural rather than rustic, working well against timber furniture, warm neutrals, and other wood toned pieces in the room.

How it works

The Orbit Pendant takes a single E27 lamp (golf ball shape suits the opal shade best), which is not included and should be sourced separately. It is compatible with dimmable smart lamps, so smooth dimming is possible, but only if you fit a compatible dimmable bulb; a standard non dimmable lamp will not dim even on a dimmer circuit. The fitting is rated Class II, meaning it is double insulated and does not require an earthed connection. Drop is adjustable from 69.9cm up to 359.9cm, so it can be set high over a table or lowered further down a stairwell or hallway void.

Where it works best

At 40cm in diameter and 57cm tall, the Orbit Pendant suits dining tables, kitchen islands, and living room seating areas as a single statement drop, or hallways and stairwells where the generous adjustable drop range comes into its own. Its warmth also makes it a natural fit for bedrooms, particularly paired either side of a bed or as a single central fitting in smaller rooms. At just 2.3kg it is light enough that most standard ceiling roses will support it without any special reinforcement.
