Quintiesse Nye 6 Light Chandelier - Classic Pewter

The Nye 6 Light Chandelier brings a mid century sensibility to the ceiling, with six arms fanning out from a slim steel frame and each one finished with a cylindrical clear glass shade. It is a fitting that reads as sculptural from across the room yet stays light and open in feel, thanks to the glass keeping the sightlines clear.

The Classic Pewter finish

This version is finished in Classic Pewter, a cool, softly muted grey that sits closer to brushed steel than to a shiny chrome. It has a quiet, understated character that works well against darker walls, stone, or monochrome palettes, and it avoids competing with other metal finishes already in the room, whether that is black ironmongery or brushed steel kitchen fittings.

How it works

The chandelier takes 6 x E14 LED bulbs, which are not supplied. It is dimmable, but only if dimmable bulbs are fitted. The drop is adjustable between 37.1cm and 123.7cm, so the hanging height can be set to suit the room once it is installed. As a Class I fitting it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

With a 71.1cm spread across its six arms, this is a good candidate for a dining table or a kitchen island where you want the light spread wide rather than concentrated in one spot. The adjustable drop also makes it useful in rooms with higher ceilings, including double height hallways or stairwells, where you can pull the fitting down closer to head height. It suits living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and hallways equally well.
