Quintiesse Morris Single Pedestal Lantern - Distressed Copper

The Morris Single Pedestal Lantern takes the collection's trailing Southwest Mission design and puts it on top of a post, making it a fitting for the garden rather than the house wall. It's the tallest piece in the Morris range at 41.9cm, designed to sit proud on a pillar or pedestal at the edge of a driveway, path or boundary wall.

Distressed copper finish

Built from aluminium and finished in distressed copper with a naturally weathered look, the lantern's inside etched, iridised seeded glass panels catch and scatter the light unevenly, giving it a warm glow after dark rather than a flat beam. That aged tone suits stone gateposts and brick pillars particularly well.

How it works

It runs on a single E27 bulb (not supplied), with dimming available only if you fit a dimmable bulb. As a Class I fitting it needs an earthed supply and should be wired up by a qualified electrician. The IP44 rating means it's built to handle being outside in rain and damp conditions, which matters given it's the most exposed fitting in the range.

Where it works best

At 30.5cm wide and weighing 5.5kg, this is the heaviest fitting in the Morris collection, so it needs a solid, level pedestal or pillar top to sit on. It works well marking a driveway entrance, either side of a front gate, or along a garden path where you want low level, ambient light rather than a wall mounted lantern.
