The Quintiesse Meridian 3 Light Pendant brings a sculptural, layered look to a room, built around a cluster of dark, textured glass discs that ring a softly glowing white glass orb. It hangs from an adjustable chain, so the drop can be set to suit the room, and its distressed gold frame gives it a warmth that reads as more jewellery than fixture.

The frame is finished in a distressed gold that Quintiesse describes as hand applied, giving each disc holder a slightly weathered, uneven warmth rather than a uniform sheen. Around it sit dark grey textured glass discs: opaque and moody when the pendant is off, then softening to a pale grey glow once the lights inside are switched on. It is a finish that suits warm metals, aged wood, and richer paint colours such as bottle green or terracotta.

How it works

The Meridian 3 Light Pendant takes 3 x 40W E14 bulbs, which are not supplied. It is dimmable, but only if dimmable bulbs are fitted, so check compatibility before buying replacements. This is a Class I fixture, meaning it must be connected to an earthed supply and fitted by a qualified electrician. The pendant is supplied with its ceiling rose, adjustable drop chain, and disc frame ready to wire in.

At 59.7cm high and 57.2cm across, with a drop that adjusts between 70.5cm and 130cm, this pendant suits rooms with a bit of height to play with, a dining table, a living room seating area, or as a statement piece above a bed in a main bedroom. Because the drop is adjustable, it is worth measuring your ceiling height and checking it against that range before installing, particularly if you want the orb to sit at a specific level above a table.
