Quintiesse Ludlow Single Wall Light - Polished Nickel

The Ludlow single wall light brings a considered blend of industrial engineering and Palladian architectural reference to a compact wall fitting. Built around simple circle and square geometry, and designed around its light source rather than a shade, it adds a distinctive rustic detail: a genuine cow hide leather strap wrapped across the fitting, an unexpected pairing with its polished metalwork.

Polished Nickel finish

This version is finished in polished nickel over a steel frame, giving it a bright, reflective surface that catches the light rather than absorbing it. A clear acrylic panel sits within the geometric frame, keeping the light source visible rather than hidden behind a shade. The combination of cool metal, clear acrylic and the warmth of the leather strap gives the fitting a look that sits comfortably alongside brass, chrome or blackened metal hardware nearby.

How it works

Ludlow is designed to take 1 x E27 LED bulb, which is not supplied. If a dimmable bulb is fitted, the light can be dimmed; a standard bulb will not dim even on a dimmer circuit. This is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed mains supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 26.1cm high, 26cm wide and with a 13.1cm projection from the wall, it works well as a pair either side of a mirror, a run of fittings along a hallway or landing, or a single statement piece beside a bed or in a dining room. Moonlight Design lists it as suited to living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, and at 2.8kg it is light enough for most standard wall fixings.
