Quintiesse Loras Single Wall Light - Chrome

The Loras Single Wall Light brings the same industrial edged character as the rest of the collection down to wall height, with a single clear seeded glass shade suspended on a short black fabric cord from a compact steel backplate. It works well on its own beside a mirror or door frame, or in pairs flanking a fireplace, headboard or run of kitchen cabinetry.

The chrome finish

Finished in polished chrome, the fitting has a bright, clean surface that catches the light without dominating a wall. The seeded glass shade keeps its characteristic subtle texture and slight irregularity, giving the light a softer, more handcrafted feel than the smooth chrome frame around it. It's a natural match for kitchens and dining rooms with chrome taps, steel appliances or glass splashbacks.

How it works

Each wall light takes 1 x E27 LED bulb, not supplied. It's dimmable if you fit a dimmable bulb and use it with a compatible dimmer. The glass shade hangs on its cord at a fixed projection of 21.9cm from the wall. This is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be fitted by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At just 14.6cm wide and 2.2kg, this is a slim, light fitting suited to spaces where a pendant or chandelier would be too much. Quintiesse lists it for kitchens and dining rooms, and it's equally at home either side of a doorway or above a console table in a hallway. Its modest projection of 21.9cm means it sits close to the wall, useful in narrower rooms or passageways.
