Quintiesse Loras 6 Light Chandelier - Chrome

The Loras 6 Light Chandelier is the largest fitting in the collection, spreading six clear seeded glass shades across a wide steel frame finished in polished chrome. It's designed for rooms that can take a genuine centrepiece, whether that's a long dining table, a generous kitchen island or an entrance hall with height to spare.

The chrome finish

Polished chrome gives the frame a bright, reflective surface, while the six clear seeded glass shades, each with their own slightly irregular texture, keep the light from feeling too uniform or industrial. Across a frame this size, the combination of chrome and glass reads as substantial without becoming heavy, and pairs well with contemporary kitchens and dining rooms finished in steel, glass or gloss surfaces.

How it works

It takes 6 x E27 LED bulbs, not supplied, and is dimmable if fitted with dimmable bulbs and a suitable dimmer. The cords allow the drop to be adjusted between 78.3cm and 235cm, giving plenty of scope to set the height correctly even in a tall stairwell or double height space. This is a Class I fitting, so it requires an earthed electrical supply and installation by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 94.3cm across, this is the widest fitting in the Loras range, best suited to larger dining tables, kitchen islands or open plan living spaces. Quintiesse lists it as appropriate for living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms and hallways. At 15kg it's also the heaviest piece in the collection, so it's essential to confirm your ceiling has a secure, load rated fixing point rated for that weight before installation.
