The Loras 5 Light Chandelier is the largest statement piece in the Loras collection, gathering five clear seeded glass shades on individual black fabric cords beneath a wide steel frame. It takes the visual language of early industrial lighting and reworks it for contemporary dining rooms, living spaces and entrance halls where you want real presence overhead.
The chrome finish
This version is finished in polished chrome, giving the steel frame a bright, reflective surface that reads as crisp and modern rather than heavy or ornate. The clear seeded glass shades, with their gentle, uneven texture, soften the light and add a handmade quality that plays well against the chrome's polish. It suits kitchens and dining spaces with chrome or stainless steel appliances, glass and mirrored surfaces, or contemporary furniture in black, white or pale wood.
How it works
The fitting takes 5 x E27 LED bulbs, which are not supplied. It's dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable LED bulbs and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. The black fabric cords can be adjusted between 75.7cm and 232.4cm of drop, so you can set the height to suit your ceiling and the table or floor below. This is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
With a depth of 72.7cm across its five arms, this chandelier is built for rooms with room to spare above a dining table, kitchen island or in a double height hallway. Quintiesse lists it as suited to living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms and hallways, and the long adjustable drop makes it a good option for stairwells or rooms with higher than average ceilings. At 11kg, it's a substantial fitting, so check that your ceiling has a secure, load rated fixing point before installation.
