Sitting in the middle of the Lasalle range, this single medium wall lantern is the size most people reach for when fitting a standard front door or garage surround. It keeps the collection's transitional country look: a gently curved arm holding a clear glass jar that shows off whatever bulb you choose, rather than hiding it behind frosted or coloured glass.
The Western Bronze finish
Built from aluminium and finished in Western Bronze, the metalwork has a warm, aged quality rather than a flat, factory smooth coat. Quintiesse describes many of its bronze finishes as hand applied, giving each one a slightly individual patina rather than perfect uniformity. Against stone, brick, or a painted door frame, it leans traditional and a little rustic, in keeping with the collection's country roots.
How it works
It runs on a single E27 bulb, not supplied, so you can pick a filament LED that suits the open glass design. Dimming is possible, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs; standard bulbs will not dim. With an IP44 rating, it is protected against water splashing from any angle, which is what you want from a fitting mounted outside on an exterior wall. It is a fixed wall mount with no adjustable drop.
Where it works best
At 22.8cm wide and projecting 25.3cm, this size works well either side of a standard front door, at a garage entrance, or along a porch wall where you want a fitting that reads clearly from the street without dominating it. It is a natural pick when you want a matching pair either side of a doorway.
